Mobile Friendly Websites
Responsive websites are based on two principles:
Media Queries: Media Queries are a set of questions that the website asks the viewer’s device so it can provide the viewer with the best experience. Questions like: what are you? how big are you? etc., help the website adjust the display and functionality of the website to match the incoming device.
Fluid Layouts: Previously, websites were based on fixed widths and specific layouts. Responsive websites have fluid layouts that rely on content percentages so items can changes their shape and size while still maintaining the integrity of the page.
Responsive websites are growing in popularity and are now more than half of internet traffic. Google also rewards responsive websites and gives them priority in most search scenarios.
So crack the nut on getting more customers by going responsive. Your message will be device friendly and Google will love you, too.
